Scope of Work:

These works were undertaken as part of a Section 278 scheme to support the delivery of a new mixed tenure housing scheme adjacent to the site off Donnington Wood Way in Telford.  This project involved the construction of a new signalised junction to both the southern and northern sections of Donnington Wood Way along with the installation of controlled at grade pedestrian crossings.

The scheme also consisted of extensive upgrades to footways and cycleways in order to improve safety and accessibility for active travel users along with the introduction of a new speed limit of 40mph. A new signalised pedestrian crossing point to the south of the site was also installed to provide an improved link to a local ASDA supermarket along with improvements to the existing underpass off Dalebrook Drive.

In order to facilitate these improvements our work consisted of bulk excavation, drainage, road construction, footway and cycleway construction, installation of splitter islands, ducting for traffic signals, installation of grasscrete to layby and underpass refurbishments works.
