Scope of Work:
The works were undertaken as part of Telford and Wrekin Council’s programme of Traffic and Road Safety Schemes 2019-20 and funded by Section 106 contributions from developers. Following Consultation with the local community in May 2019 the conclusion was to instigate a localised one-way system and install a raised zebra crossing to improve pedestrian safety and assist with reducing vehicle speeds in the area. Our work consisted of:
- Construction of footway build outs
- Footway reconstruction
- Installation of tactile paving to crossing points
- Construction of speed ramp and raised crossing
- Drainage improvements
- Installation of timber trip rail
- Finishing works involving carriageway resurfacing
