Scope of Work:

These works were undertaken following collaborative work between Wellington Town Council, Telford and Wrekin Council and West Mercia Police after a growing number of complaints by residents about speeding. In an effort to slow down traffic and increase pedestrian safety this project involved the signalisation of the road junction and the installation of a pedestrian crossing at the junction of Haygate Road and Holyhead Road. Our work consisted of:

  • New kerbing
  • Footway construction
  • Installation of tactile paving
  • Installation of gullies to improve highway drainage
  • New bus stop kerbing
  • Installation of traffic signal ducting and nal sockets
