Scope of Work:

These works were undertaken as part of a Section 278 scheme to provide an access into a new development of distribution units at Wolf Pack Hilton Cross near Wolverhampton. Delivered in partnership with Benniman Ltd the main challenge on this project was the presence of utility services in the area of the new access.

As part of our risk assessment procedures we therefore undertook trail holes to establish the location of the services that were discovered to be incorrectly located. To protect the health and safety of our workforce during the excavation works we therefore utilised vacuum excavation equipment whilst working around the existing utility equipment.

In order to facilitate the new access our work consisted of excavation, drainage, kerbing, full construction of new access, footway construction and new pedestrian crossing points, resurfacing works and road markings.
